Snow in October

Okay, so I am sure many of you have heard that it snowed on October 11th this year.... even before there were any orange leaves. Nothing had begun to even look like autumn yet, although I had felt the wind change and decorated for fall inside the house... and here we had this amazing snow! It killed my basil, tomatoes and eggplant.... but I had already planted the kitchen garden inside the house for fall so most of the herbs will live on inside. The weirdest part of the weather flash was that it is now 80 degrees outside again. Lots of DEAD stuff, because of the awful freeze, but it's hot now! I have tried to upload pictures three times today and had the server quit on me (Blogspot's server, that is)... so if this is only text, I will add a pict in later...

OH my it is beautiful! I'm so glad that it wasn't really the start of cold freezing weather for you as I know you tire of it - but I sure do love this picture!

It seems like early snow doesn't do as much to the weather as it does to our mood...I wanted to put my Christmas tree up when we got our first snow (I restrained myself, but I thought about it). Yesterday we put away all the cute little clothes you passed on for the baby, thanks again, they are adorable!!
